The Chevrolet Equinox has maintained a reputation in Forest Lake and beyond for being a convenient, comfortable, and technology-focused vehicle since its inception. The new 2024 models are no different – demonstrating how well Chevy keeps its fingers on the pulse of the automotive needs of Coon Rapids drivers. This year there are four trim options for St Paul drivers to select from. In this article, we focus on two of the more popular – the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox LS vs. LT. These two vehicles are nearly identical – with a few exceptions that might help you make your mind up a little easier. Remember, you can always check our new vehicle specials for the Equinox and all of our other new vehicles at Morries Forest Lake Chevrolet.
Starting with performance, it’s easy to see that these two vehicles are almost carbon copies. With each, you’ll find the efficient 1.5L four-cylinder engine married to the six-speed automatic transmission. This puts out 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque for each version, giving Minneapolis drivers a smooth commute in the city or on the highway. Both trims come standard with FWD, but with an upgrade, you can take advantage of AWD.
Here’s where you’ll start to find a bit of separation between the two. For the LS version, you’ll find 17-inch alloy wheels. LED headlights and automatic high beams are also standard features – helping you during your nighttime commute. You can also take advantage of the Midnight Edition package, giving you the option of 18-inch gloss-black wheels, a black grille, black emblems, and other features. Opting for the LT trim gives you similar options, and includes a power-programmable liftgate and deep-tinted glass for the rear windshield. Drivers may also opt for a power sunroof while shopping for the Equinox LT. Here are some additional features the LT has that aren’t available on the LS:
Alternatively, you’ll find the following on the LS but not the LT:
In the price category, both of these vehicles have excellent starting points. If you go the way of the LS, you’re looking at an MSRP of $29,595 MSRP for the AWD version. This is without any of the upgraded packaging. If you decide on the LT, your starting price is $32,490 MSRP. The justified price increase stems from the upgraded exterior and added safety features.
If you like what you see so far, you’re gonna love these two cars in person. Come see us and apply for low-interest financing and take the LS and LT for a test drive! For additional questions, contact us and we’ll do our best to help get you started!
